The director is said to have screen tested many young actresses including Elizabeth Banks, Kirsten Dunst, Blake Lively, Rooney Mara, Rachel McAdams, Andrea Riseborough, and Olivia Wilde, but Lawrence emerged as a clear favourite. Filming on the novel adaptation is said to start in autumn, when Lawrence finishes on _The Hunger Games_. _The Silver Linings Playbook_ is slated for release in 2013.
