LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- A stunning and glowing Beyonce stepped out in NY on Wednesday to launch her new fragrance, Beyonce Pulse. Typically, the superstar artist is a very private person, but when Access Hollywood guest correspondent Jill Martin sat down with her, Beyonce opened up about her other big news (her pregnancy!) and how she came up with the idea to reveal her baby bump at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. You know, I dreamt it, actually, Beyonce told Jill of the inspiration behind her pregnancy announcement. There were so many rumors about me being pregnant every three months for the past couple of years I thought the best way and classiest way was to just show it. And my husband and I have been together for 10 years, so I guess people felt a part of it and it makes me feel really good, she added. Following Beyonces big reveal at the end of her VMAs performance, cameras cut to a shot of her husband, Jay-Z, in the audience along with Kanye West, as the two rappers jumped up and down and cheered in celebration. Although the proud, soon-to-be daddys enthusiasm was seen by millions, Beyonce said she missed the endearing moment. I couldnt see that in real life, but I did see it on a bunch of TV specials, the 30-year-old singer said. You couldnt escape it, so it was nice! As for motherhood, B said she feels shes been preparing for this moment for years. I just feel like everything Ive been through in my life is all for right now, she told Jill. So hopefully life will continue to get better, and Ill continue to get stronger and be an incredible mother. Beyonce was solo at the launch party for her third fragrance, but both she and Jay-Z were very involved in creating Pulse. I wear it, I live with it for about six months, and we tweak, she revealed, when asked about her creative process. I make sure its long lasting. And I make sure I get my compliments from everyone from my fans to my husband, she added with a laugh. Copyright 2011 by NBC Universal, Inc. "Silk" Gold Circle Films has hired Marko King, Mary King and Jonathan Watters, the scribe trio who helped write the Halle Berry drama Frankie & Alice, to write the American remake of Taiwanese supernatural thriller Silk. The 2006 film was a yarn about scientists who capture the ghost of a child in an apartment and the detective charged with discovering clues to the ghost's identity and demise. Gold Circle is re-conceiving the film and is departing from the original's plot. Although it keeping the new story under wraps, the project is being described as "Michael Crichton meets The Sixth Sense." Gold Circle's Paul Brooks will produce along with Rob Cowan (The Crazies). Robin Jonas (Mr. Brooks) and Gold Circle's Scott Niemeyer will executive produce. Brad Kessell, who originally brought the project and brought in the writers, is shepherding. The company is in post on horror movie The Haunting in Georgia and is in pre-production on the music-based comedy Pitch Perfect, which will star Anna Kendrick. King, King and Watters (which sounds like a law firm) wrote the screenplay for Frankie & Alice along with Cheryl Edwards, Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse. The movie earned Berry a Golden Globe nomination and the writers and Image Award nomination. King, King and Watters are repped by the Mechanic Company and attorney Eric Feig. International Asia

Has Stellan Skarsgård stop by a little Sigmund Freud? It appears the Swedish actor has a little the Austrian psychiatrist about him if this involves evaluating company directors."Every one has their very own methods for working and also the more gifted the company directors are, the greater you'd like to learn what their childhood was like really," the Thor and Avengers star told Super hero Hype."David Fincher stated in my experience whenever we met, 'This won't be fun, because I sometimes do 40 takes of every set-up'. And That I stated, 'It had better be fun, and that i don't mind doing 40 takes, so let us make 40 fun takes'."So could it have been fun?"I truly loved it. He's very thorough, but it is no rectal factor," Skarsgård added. "You are able to really do 40 takes which are 40 versions of the scene, that can bring it to existence."That being stated, appears Fincher may be someone to avoid for stars who choose chilling out within their trailer."He works solid, meaning you shoot constantly. When Terrence Malick employs formerly unknown stars to guide his films, Hollywood notices. (Thanks for visiting the A-list, Jessica Chastain!) As a result, take serious notice: Variety reviews the 'Tree of Life' director wants 'Haunting of Molly Hartley' star Hayley Bennett to experience the feminine lead opposite Christian Bale in the next film. Little is famous concerning the project -- it's Malick, so, duh -- however the untitled film has already been significant since it is Malick's second production within the last 2 yrs. The infamously slow-working director is within publish-production on another untitled film (with Film Clip and Rachel McAdams in lead roles) that's due in theaters the coming year. UPDATE: Variety reviews that Clemence Poesey ('Harry Potter') can also be within the mix with Bennett. Best of luck, you future Chastains! [Variety]

At first glance, the formidable cast of Main Street appears to have gathered for a chance to work off the final original script from Horton Foote, the Pulitzered playwright and two-time Oscar-winning screenwriter (for 1962’s To Kill a Mockingbird and 1983’s Tender Mercies) who passed away in 2009. But as the film creeps along with few signs of life, one begins to suspect the real reason they’re all there is to show off that most treasured item in any actor’s toolkit — the Southern accent. Main Street is an ensemble drama that functions as a display case for a range of regional drawls, from the authentic to absurd. Patricia Clarkson, playing Willa, a divorcee who’s returned to her hometown of Durham, North Carolina, easily walks away with best in show, but coming from Louisiana she’s in slightly more familiar territory than Colin Firth, who, as Gus Leroy, a representative of a toxic waste management company, is a sorely unconvincing Texan. That toxic waste is hazardous, but it also represents a possible salvation for Durham, standing in here for every American town being hollowed out by changes in the industry on which it used to depend. Durham’s tobacco heyday is gone, and Willa’s aging aunt Georgiana Carr (Ellen Burstyn), a silly Southern belle living alone in the grand house in which she grew up, but that she can no longer afford to maintain, rents out her unused tobacco warehouse to Gus without bothering to hear what he intends to use it for. When she’s told, she frets, and enlists Willa’s help in negotiating her way out of the agreement, despite having already spent most of the money, while Gus woos the city council (headed by Isiah Whitlock Jr. as the mayor) with promises of jobs and a much-needed injection of cash. Elsewhere, young Mary (Amber Tamblyn) considers leaving town and dates an older man (Andrew McCarthy), as her ex Harris (Orlando Bloom, wielding a pencil moustache) pines and the pair’s parents look on in distress. Main Street shoots for a sprawling, John Saylesian portrait of a community, but beyond just being dramatically inert — you can only pick out the climax after the fact — its characters also seems curiously disconnected from each other and from the physical location in which they’re supposed to live. In reality, Durham has over 200,000 residents, but it comes across as so depopulated in the film that number seem more like 200. John Doyle, a theater director making his film debut here, compounds the sitcom-like feeling that everything’s being shot on sound stages in Los Angeles by using few exterior shots, other than bookend montages of the city from its past and slightly dilapidated present. Despite its title, Main Street primarily plays out in living rooms and kitchens, as Georgiana bemoans her family’s decline, as Harris’s mother (Margo Martindale) worries her son’s exhausting himself in night school, as Gus and Willa start a cautious flirtation. The issue of crumbling municipalities whose hope for the future is fleeing with their younger generation, and who are placed in a weakened position in negotiating with businesses they might have turned away in a more stable time, is a knotty one with plenty of narrative potential. A July episode of This American Life exploring the PR battles that took place when a natural gas company looked into leasing land for drilling near a small Pennsylvania town contained enough fodder for a season of cable TV (though Lord knows how you’d pitch it). Main Street’s approach is disappointingly simplistic and sanctimonious — the bargain being offered by Gus’s company is strictly Faustian. The waste being stored in that rented warehouse in lines of canisters Gus swears meet every safety standard is described dramatically by Willa as “death,” and a perfectly timed accident and a character’s change of heart each suggest she’s right. If Main Street offers any sort of story, it’s one of a city briefly tangling with a predatory business, but managing to get away intact, while its representative new generation comes close to heading to Atlanta for new opportunities, but in the end decides to stay. So why does the film leave you feeling so sympathetic to a toxic waste company? Given the lack of other prospects left for this highly theatrical version of Durham, the hopeful lilt of the ending rings not just false but foolish, like the dithering Georgiana in her beautiful, empty house, monologuing about how splendid the old days were. One longs for someone to tell her, sure — back then you were rich. It’s when you no longer have power and resources on your side that you have to face difficult decisions, a fact Main Street dodges, and really needed to have taken on.
